What do I need to bring with me when I move in?

All of our rooms are fully furnished, so there is no need to bring any furniture with you. There is an option for you to book extras before you move in, such as kitchen and bedding packs if you would like to have all of this ready for you when you arrive.

Essential items to pack include:

  • Duvet and Duvet Covers
  • Toiletry items
  • Food items
  • Towels
  • University books
  • Laptop and mobile phone

Don’t worry if you forget anything, all of our properties are conveniently located near to shops, so you’ll always be able to pick up any last minute items needed.

Is the property located in a safe area?

All of our properties are located in areas that are safe for students and the safety and security of our residences is very important to us. We also have a Student Services Team available to talk to during working hours and our security staff are on hand to help at night time. Please feel free to contact us if you want to ask any questions.

How do I travel to my university?

Due to the location of our properties, they are almost always close to transport links. If this is not the case, Uninest provide free bus transportation to university as part of your all-inclusive rent.

Can I have a social event at Uninest?

You can book communal areas for special events such as birthdays, please note that this will be on a first come, first serve basis and needs to be agreed by the property manager in advance. Guests are welcome, however they must sign in and out at reception.

Can I bring my friends to the property?

Yes, we welcome guests, however visitors will be required to sign in and meet the security team before being allowed access to the building and residents are responsible for their guests behavior. We ask that out of courtesy for others sharing your apartment, that you ask them in advance if they are comfortable with visitors.

What happens if something in my room, eg: chair or light bulb breaks?

Any maintenance problems can be reported to our Student Service Team at reception. Your maintenance fault will be logged and our Onsite Maintenance Team will aim to resolve it for you as soon as possible. All repairs are free of charge, so long as they haven’t been caused by intentional damage.

Are pets allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed in Uninest properties. This rule is in place for the safety and security of all guests.
